I love this stock pot. It fits on my stove (front burners). It’s perfect for making alot of stock at one time. I simmer my stock for 24 to 72 hours and this pot really works. I love the glass lid with a steam release hole. This pot has a nice heavy bottom that can stand up to 72 hours or more of slow simmering with no burning. I would like to have known the base diameter before purchasing (I guessed it would fit and I’m glad that I guessed correctly.) With any stockpot the amount that it holds is always listed as though it were filled to the top. Of course this isn’t practical. I can get a good 16 to 18 quarts out of this pot without it boiling over or getting too close to the top for my personal comfort. I hope you enjoy this stockpot as much as I’m enjoying it.
This is very nice Stock Pot, I was looking for this size pot for some time, and did find it. It’s prefect to cook something for big family. Also, it’s nice quality steel.
I had been on a search for the ideal “lobster/giant” pot for some time.
The Prime Pacific Stock Pot is far superior to its enameled cousins. It has a nice thick heat conducting base for even heating, which means that it’s good for sauteeing onions, etc. for soups and chilis.
It’s attractive, easy to clean, and contrary to other reviews, the handles seem sturdy enough for normal use.
It costs at least $100 less than the next step up.
The 21 Qt. stainless steel stock pot was what I wanted. It is acceptable! I have cooked one time, and am very satisfied with the results. The only objection is the rim that holds the glass cover; it is of very light construction. It was “dinged” when I opened the box it came in; however, a small problem that I can live with. I would recommend it to others.
This really is a great pot. I am not sure why anyone would buy a cheap aluminum version when they have this. I use this one for home brewing beer and wine, but really you could make pasta in it if you felt like it. My only complaint is that the top is glass and it could possibly break, but so far I have no corrosion to report. Very happy.
